Answer: Howard and Linnea established a designated fund to support four organizations perpetually. The Angel Fund at St. Michael’s School in Greenfield, Greenfield Area Soccer club, Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen and Hancock County Food Pantry. “Linnea has been a teacher at St. Michael’s for over 20 years and we felt a Catholic education was one of the things important for kids to experience. It may not be for everyone, but for those interested and in need, this fund helps them afford the full tuition at St. Michael’s, especially young families”, shares Howard.
Twenty years of coaching and refereeing Greenfield Area Soccer Club has afforded Howard the ability to forget work and teach children and parents about the game while enjoying the sun, snow and rainy practices! “Recently, I got to see some of the kids I coached that now have kids playing soccer. I’ve learned many of them are giving back to the community.”
The Hancock County Food Pantry and Kenneth Butler Soup Kitchen are organizations Green’s see as critically important. “As an employee of Elanco, I see our products being used to help producers and consumers achieve a safe, affordable, food supply; yet, even today, one out of five people in the United States isn’t sure where their next meal will come from. Food is important for brain and general health which makes for a better overall community,” says Howard.
