NineStar Connect (2213 E. Main Street, Greenfield)
Keith Roach, Elanco
We envision a world where 9 billion people have access to enough nutritious and affordable food; where meat, milk, and eggs are available to anyone who wants them. We see a world where health is better as a result of better diets; where there are fewer deaths from hunger and less disease and obesity. In our vision, our communities produce more with less, preserving our resources for future generations. The ultimate result: a more stable and peaceful world, with more fact-based decisions that deliver more affordable, safe, and sustainable food. Through innovation, choice, and trade, we have the ability to achieve this goal.
Keith joined Elanco in 2010 and is in a sales management role supporting the dairy business. He is passionate about faith, family and what US agriculture is accomplishing each and every day.
Gifts of Grain
Andrew Winters, Winters CPA Group
Did you know that you can support charitable causes that are important to you by donating grain? For some farmers making a charitable contribution in kind, rather than cash can increase the tax benefit of the gift. To a non-profit organization, there is no difference between the receipt of cash and an equal value of commodities; however, there can be substantial difference in the tax consequences resulting from the donation of cash or raised inventory. Learn how it works and who qualifies!
Andrew graduated from Kelley School of Business in 2010 with a degree in business management. He is a partner and the fourth generation family member to join the firm.
