Community Investment and Grants Officer
The Hancock County Community Foundation (HCCF) provides philanthropic leadership by encouraging giving, learning, community pride and civic engagement. Equipping Hancock County nonprofit organizations to pursue their missions efficiently and effectively is an important objective of HCCF. We provide opportunities for their staff and board to develop the skills and resources necessary to reach and serve their audiences effectively. We accomplish this through the execution of multiple mediums including grantmaking. HCCF has granted over $13.5 million since its inception in 1992.
HCCF seeks an individual with an enthusiasm for the enrichment of Hancock County and a desire to execute an effective strategy for the work described above. Responsibilities include providing a nonprofit network of support and capacity building opportunities. Through nonprofit relations and community knowledge, the position identifies gaps, needs, and opportunities for design and implementation of grantmaking programs that align with HCCF goals.
Proven ability to vision, strategize, and execute related action items effectively are key attributes of a qualified candidate. Strengths in these areas must be supported with excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 3-5 years of nonprofit experience is required. Hancock County residency is preferred.
