We have scholarships available for graduating high school and current college students who are pursuing either an Associate or Bachelor’s degree or career credentials.

Adult Education Scholarships

Everyone’s story of higher education is different. That’s why we offer educational support for non-traditional (or adult) students who are seeking undergraduate post-secondary training or schooling to improve their career prospects.

Imagination Library

The Community Foundation, in partnership with the Hancock County Public Library, is proud to make the Dollywood Foundation Imagination Library Program possible for all children under five years of age in Hancock County.

Y-Give Program

Youth-Granting, Investing, Volunteering and Engaging in Hancock County

Creating a culture of philanthropy starts by encouraging our youth to give and serve their community. Y-GIVE seeks to do just that by establishing a board of youth ambassadors for the Community Foundation with representation from each Hancock County public high school.

Martha Beckenholdt Youth Philanthropy Award

This process is closed until January 2024.

This award, named in honor of long-time Hancock County resident and philanthropist Martha Beckenholdt, recognizes a Hancock County high school junior who has contributed outstanding time, talent, and energy to philanthropic endeavors. These are the true attributes of the woman whom the award honors.

The award recipient will select a Hancock County nonprofit organization or agency to receive a $1,000 grant in his or her name, donated by the Community Foundation. Applicants must be Hancock County high school juniors with a recommendation from a high school staff member or nonprofit organization leader located in Hancock County.
