The Hancock County Community Foundation recently awarded Nameless Creek Youth Camp Inc. a $1,955 grant from the HCCF Hanson Family Field of Interest Fund. Nameless Creek Youth Camp’s mission is to create outdoor recreational and camping opportunities to increase the appreciation of nature and the enjoyment of the outdoors and outdoor sports for all of the youth of Greenfield, Hancock County, and the surrounding counties. In their 7th decade of operation, Nameless Creek Youth Camp provides youth opportunities to connect with the community and a fun facility that draws families and youth together for Four Seasons a year.
The grant dollars awarded to Nameless Creek Youth Camp Inc. will help fund the camp that continues to impact young lives each summer. “PIN Camp” (Plug Into Nature) offers education, leadership and recreation to youth that would otherwise not have the opportunity for one week during the summer. Organizations like Nameless Creek Youth Camp Inc. are essential to our communities as well as Hancock County.
HCCF works with caring individuals, families, and organizations to create or grow existing permanent funds called endowments. These funds generate income that is distributed in the form of grants and scholarships to enrich and enhance life in Hancock County, as well as support the donor’s favorite charitable causes, both at home and afar forever. HCCF has granted over $8.7 million since its inception in 1992.
