The Hancock County Community Foundation awarded a $2500 incentive grant this past April to the four Education Foundations, with the incentive of awarding another $2500 (a 1:1 match) upon raising funds for their respective endowment funds. HCCF is pleased to announce that each Education Foundation was successful in attaining its endowment goal; therefore, HCCF has awarded an additional $2,500 grant to each of the four Education Foundations in response to their success. The establishment of these endowments will enable each Education Foundation to have its own sustainable source of operating income to enable its ability to satisfy needs within the school corporation through grants and scholarships.
HCCF recognizes the immense benefit the Education Foundation model brings to the county school corporations. Education Foundations are in the position of gathering information regarding overall school corporation needs, aligning said needs with educational objectives, and directing funding in accordance with those objectives as they relate to the corporation’s mission.
